Let us imagine that our planet is a 46-year-old man. We know nothing about the first 7 years of his life. We only know a few random facts about his middle age. We know that the planet started to become green when he was 42 years old. Dinosaurs didn't get here until the Earth was 45 years old. Mammals appeared 8 months ago, and ape-like people appeared in the middle of last week. The last ice covered the Earth last weekend. Humans came here 4 hours ago. During the last hour he invented farming and the industrial revolution started a minute ago. This means that everything that makes us worry has happened in the last 60 seconds. That's what this quest is like on this planet Earth.
Our vision is to reshape film production to become as eco-friendly as possible. We want to draw attention to ecological issues and set an environmental management standard for the Estonian film industry. Our processes are streamlined to save natural resources, reduce waste and make the working environment healthier.
Nafta Films is committed to sustainability. Our strategy is to outline the environmental goals for each project and oversee their implementation by all departments.
Our team is trained in Environmental Management Systems fundamentals and specific practices in green production and footprint calculations (Albert, AdGreen, Green The Bid). We have adopted a carbon footprint calculation system to set an example in the development of green services in the Estonian film industry.
A verified sustainability report (CO2 balance certificate and practical measures report) is available on request from our partner Bureau Veritas.
Nafta Films office received the Green Office title from May 2023.
